The Big Island

Well, since it has been six months since we arrived there are lots of pictures to show and stories to tell. So I thought I would start with the most recent pictures and then go back from there.

Dave decided that while Zach and Amy were here we should take advantage and celebrate our anniversary a couple of months early. So he attempted to surprise me with a 4 day trip to the Big Island. (I ask too many questions--so it is impossible for Dave to surprise me!)

We stayed at the Kilauea Military Camp (KMC) which is actually located in the Volcano National Park. Here is a picture of our cute little cabin that had the exterior covered in lava rock.

We actually spent most of our time in Kona. We went to the Temple there which was a great experience. We went to Ruth's Chris Steak House which is well worth the money once every 5 or so years!! SUPER expensive...but the best steak you'll ever have! The most fun had was when we went jetskiing though. The dolphins there are playful and actually came up around us while we were on the jetski and swam with us and jumped and spun all around us. It was one of the funnest experiences either of us had ever had. Unfortunately, it is hard to take pictures while jetskiing!!

We went to the Black sand beach, attempted the hike to the green sand beach (it took too long and we were going to be late for the Temple), and we saw Rainbow Falls. We also visited the southern most town in the U.S.
Sorry the pictures aren't in order--I am still learning how to use this thing. You would think that after working for eBay I would be a little more computer saavy!:) Don't forget to leave comments so that I know who is watching!!:)
