Aloha Oe

Well, the last two Sundays have just solidified the fact that I never want to leave here. Two Sundays ago a family that was moving off the island spoke. After the closing prayer for sacrament meeting, the entire congregation stood and sang "Aloha Oe". It was so moving. It had me in tears. Then during the last chorus the bishop went and hugged the family and then row by row the entire congregation went up and hugged them goodbye and gave them leis. They ended up with 6 or 7 leis each. It was a wonderful experience. Then the next week a boy that was moving to New Mexico to play college ball was leaving so we sang for him too and went and said goodbye. It is such a wonderful, heart felt tradition.

Here are some pictures of the kids cleaning the church. It was our ward's turn a few weeks ago. And then there is a family picture of us in front of the chapel that we took to send with our adoption paperwork to China. They wanted pictures of the family doing things that we do on a normal basis.
